EMPTY SKY: A tribute to Elton John presents a new & truly exciting experience of one of rocks most dynamic icons. In going beyond the visual glitter & over the top exploits of fashion EMPTY SKY’s initial inspiration began to focus soley on the music & lyrics of Elton John & long time writer collaborator Bernie Taupin, thus returning to the era of the “songwriter” a time most cherished in the 70’s rock history.
The result, a unique show that manages to provide the a dazzling journey to “yesteryear” with musical harmonic virtuosity embracing the experience of a songwriters journey set to music. In part of an evening’s performance, the EMPTY SKY audience is bought to anticipation during a daringly faithful rendition of “Funeral for a friend”, and easily coaxed to a sing-a-long in “Crocodile rock.” To countless fans & critics alike these are the songs that belong to everyone.
